“Alhamdulillah, semua dokumen persyaratan sudah  lengkap, lancar semuanya. Ini pertanda baik,” ujar Rio Capella di Kantor KPU Provinsi Bengkulu Kamis siang.

Kemudian dari pada itu, dirinya juga menyampaikan banyak hal terkait maju nya beliau kembali di kancah perpolitikan Nasional untuk bersuara dan berjuang demi kemajuan  provinsi Bengkulu, beliau juga mengatakan seorang pemimpin itu tidak berada dalam zona nyaman, dan pemimpin itu harus siap dalam keadaan menderita, itulah sejatinya pemimpin.

“Seorang pemimpin itu bukan berada di zona nyaman,  pepatah kuno Belanda mengatakan (Lieden Is Lijden) seorang pemimpin itu harus siap dalam keadaan menderita, itulah sejatinya seorang pemimpin “. Ujar bang Rio.

Lanjut bang Rio , bahwa dirinya maju sebagai balon DPD RI  untuk kepentingan provinsi Bengkulu seutuhnya. Dia juga mengatakan masalah jalan Tol di Bengkulu yang terhenti pengerjaannya itu masalah kecil.

“Di DPD itu juga berfungsi untuk memperjuangkan kepentingan daerah termasuk jalan tol Bengkulu-Lubuk Linggau yang sekarang terhenti pengerjaan nya itu masalah kecil,  ini bagaimana fungsi dan peran personal anggota DPD RI itu sendiri,” papar bang Rio.

Selain itu, bang Rio menjelaskan banyak hal lainnya yang bisa di perjuangkan di DPD RI dengan peran personal anggota nya misalnya tentang kesejahteraan masyarakat Bengkulu  bagaimana pusat bisa memberikan perhatian lebih kepada pariwisata, infastruktur dan hal-hal lain yang dibutuhkan provinsi Bengkulu.

“Semua itu harus dikomunikasikan dengan teman-teman DPR yang memiliki fungsi tentang anggaran, itu yang paling penting. Jadi tidak harus mengatakan bahwa itu DPD tidak punya peran anggaran sehingga tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa, peran yang maksimal seorang anggota DPD inilah ikut membantu kepentingan derah. Namun perlu di tekankan bahwa calon perorangan itu titik tekannya kepada kemampuan perorangan untuk memperjuangkan itu,” tuturnya.

Bang Rio lanjut mengatakan bahwa sudah seharusnya kita mengembalikan sebagaimana mestinya,  sehingga ketika masuk ke Senayan  nantinya kita sudah tau apa yang harus diperjuangkan dan apa yang harus dilakukan untuk daerah yang kita cintai ini.

“Bukan natinya setelah kita masuk disana, hanya sekedar untuk memenuhi kursi anggota DPD saja. Kalau DPD orangnya tidak berfungsi secara maksimal maka jangan harap kepentingan provinsi Bengkulu akan terakomodir di tingkat nasional,” pungkas bang Rio. (Awt.)
