Gubernur Rohidin Motivasi Mahasiswa Baru UINFAS Bengkulu untuk Siap Hadapi Tantangan Masa Depan
BENGKULU, mimbarline.com-Gubernur Bengkulu, Rohidin Mersyah, hadir dalam acara pembukaan Pengenalan Budaya Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (PBAK) Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Soekarno (UINFAS) Bengkulu Tahun 2024 yang digelar di halaman Rektorat UINFAS, Jumat (9/8/2024).
Gubernur Rohidin memberikan motivasi kepada 1.624 mahasiswa baru UINFAS Bengkulu agar menjadi generasi penerus yang berani, cerdas, kompetitif, dan progresif dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi digital saat ini.
Ia menekankan empat hal penting yang harus dikuasai selama menjalani pendidikan di kampus.
“Pertama, perkuat ilmu pengetahuan. Carilah dan dalamilah ilmu sebanyak-banyaknya sebagai bekal untuk menjalani kehidupan yang lebih baik, bukan hanya di dunia, tetapi juga di akhirat.”
“Kedua, miliki dan perkuat keterampilan. Di era teknologi informasi saat ini, ilmu saja tidak cukup; keterampilan menjadi penopang utama dalam mengembangkan ilmu yang telah dimiliki.”
“Ketiga, aktiflah di organisasi mahasiswa untuk mengasah bakat kepemimpinan. Jangan mudah menyerah dalam menjalani perjuangan di bangku kuliah. Mereka yang mudah menyerah akan kesulitan menapaki kesuksesan dan meraih cita-cita.”
“Yang terakhir, dan ini yang paling penting, adalah memiliki akhlak yang baik,” tegasnya di hadapan ribuan mahasiswa baru UINFAS Bengkulu.
Lebih lanjut, Gubernur Rohidin menjelaskan bahwa sebagai generasi penerus, mahasiswa memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam memajukan Provinsi Bengkulu, baik dalam bidang kepemimpinan maupun pembangunan.
Ia menekankan bahwa kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) adalah kunci untuk mencapai kemajuan.
“Tanggung jawab sebagai mahasiswa itu besar. Untuk maju, kalian harus berkualitas, adaptif, dan mampu bersaing. Jangan hanya menjadi yang biasa-biasa saja, tapi jadilah luar biasa,” jelasnya.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Rektor Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Soekarno Bengkulu, Zulkarnain Dali, juga mengingatkan bahwa perkembangan dan kemajuan sebuah universitas diukur dari kualitas SDM yang dihasilkan.
Oleh karena itu, menurutnya, untuk menjadi kampus Islam yang unggul, diperlukan kolaborasi dan sinergi dari semua pihak.
“Saat ini, jumlah mahasiswa di kampus kita hampir mencapai tiga ribu, mulai dari jenjang S1 hingga S2. Ini adalah capaian yang luar biasa, mengingat kampus yang dulunya IAIN kini telah bertransformasi menjadi UIN dan menjadi universitas Islam terbesar di Bengkulu,” ungkap Zulkarnain Dali.
Sementara itu, Larasati, salah satu mahasiswa baru asal Kabupaten Mukomuko, mengungkapkan alasan memilih UINFAS Bengkulu adalah karena program kerja pendidikan yang sejalan dengan visi Gubernur Bengkulu. Selain itu, banyaknya beasiswa yang tersedia, baik dari lembaga terkait maupun dari Gubernur Bengkulu, menjadi faktor penarik lainnya.
“Saya melihat bahwa di UINFAS Bengkulu tersedia banyak sekali beasiswa, seperti yang disampaikan Bapak Gubernur. Saya merasa bersyukur dan bangga menjadi bagian dari keluarga besar UINFAS Bengkulu. Ke depannya, saya berharap bisa berkontribusi dalam membangun Bengkulu di 10 atau 20 tahun mendatang,” ujar Larasati.(Rilis Kominfotik)
