GMNI Memasuki Usia ke-71: Mengokohkan Perjuangan Melawan Penjajahan Gaya Baru

BENGKULU, Mimbarline.com – Gerakan Mahasiswa Nasional Indonesia (GMNI) merayakan hari jadinya yang ke-71 pada 23 Maret 2025. Sejak didirikan pada 23 Maret 1954, GMNI terus berperan sebagai garda terdepan dalam menjaga ritme gerakan kebangsaan dan menjadi pengawal ideologi Pancasila. Perjalanan panjang ini telah melahirkan banyak kader progresif dan revolusioner yang berkiprah di berbagai sektor kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara.

Dalam momentum peringatan ini, GMNI mengusung tema “Bersatu Melawan Penjajahan Gaya Baru”, yang menyoroti bahaya Neo-Kolonialisme dan Imperialisme dalam bentuk baru, seperti dominasi teknologi informasi dan perang digital. Tema ini menjadi penting untuk didiskusikan, mengingat semakin kuatnya pengaruh kapitalisme global dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Sebagai organisasi kader dengan ideologi Marhaenisme, GMNI menegaskan komitmennya untuk melawan segala bentuk penindasan dan eksploitasi.

Ketua DPC GMNI Bengkulu, Julius Nainggolan, dalam pidatonya menegaskan bahwa peringatan Dies Natalis ini menjadi refleksi bagi GMNI untuk terus memperjuangkan cita-cita Bung Karno dalam mewujudkan Sosialisme Indonesia menuju masyarakat yang adil dan makmur.

“Kaderisasi adalah tombak utama GMNI dalam menjawab tantangan zaman. Regenerasi kader harus terus dijaga agar lahir pemuda-pemuda progresif dan revolusioner dalam perjuangan ke depan,” tegas Julius.

Momentum peringatan ke-71 tahun GMNI ini tidak hanya dirayakan di tingkat pusat, tetapi juga digalakkan dari tingkat komisariat hingga Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP). DPC GMNI Bengkulu memastikan bahwa komisariat sebagai akar ideologis tetap menjadi wadah penggemblengan kader-kader Marhaenis yang siap mengimplementasikan perjuangan di berbagai bidang.

Dengan semangat juang yang terus membara, GMNI berkomitmen untuk tetap menjadi benteng ideologi dan kekuatan gerakan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman. Perjuangan melawan penjajahan gaya baru bukan hanya tugas GMNI, tetapi juga panggilan bagi seluruh elemen bangsa yang mencita-citakan kedaulatan dan keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia.
